Based on the "Koshu-Ryu Ninpo Densho Ro Dan Shu," I have developed a protein drink inspired by the portable food of ninjas, known as "Hyorogan."
In demanding missions, a variety of nutrients, especially high-quality protein, are essential. To address the challenge of obtaining sufficient quality protein from daily meals, this drink includes ingredients believed to be in the "Hyorogan"
consumed by ninjas during the Warring States period: seed of Job's Tears (Coix lacryma-jobi extract), non-glutinous rice (rice flour), ginseng (Korean ginseng extract), and cinnamon (cinnamon powder).
This modern-day version of the Hyorogan, named "BLACK NINJA PROTEIN," is designed to replenish protein just like the ninjas of Japan. Hyorogan were a special type of portable food used by ninjas in Japan. These were small, round-shaped, and highly nutritious, designed to provide sustained energy during long military operations or travel. Mainly composed of rice, grains, herbs, and other nutrients, these compact pellets were capable of providing enough energy and nutrition to stave off hunger despite their small size. Hyrogan had a long shelf life, were convenient to carry, and could withstand long-term storage, making them an ideal food source during wartime or emergencies.
